Bits and Bobs

Do you ever take no-interest pictures? I mean, who in their right mind would take a shot of soap suds in a sink? I am intrigued, though, at the way the oddest things form patterns. I remember spending lots of time watching water roll off a ridged draining board into a sink. It fascinated me to see the way it chose it's path, in an out of the ridges, rolling calmly until it met another obstacle, then choosing another route. My son used to think I was quite mad ... maybe he was right!

For many years I have been intrigued by this house, which seems to have been there for ever. See the height to the front door? Is it built on a hill or is that an illusion? The house is opposite the drive of our lunching place (the one by the lake) so we have a good view as we drive out. I have never seen the occupants but I often wonder if they spend their time looking at the canooists or watching birds on the water.

Just to fill an empty space here are some jokey things I found on line.
My favourites are the first and last.

Well, I can't stay here all day, I have a meeting to go to. Townswomen's Guild, where I can relax and let someone else do all the work. Marvellous!
Ciao!

No, you're not mad, Valerie, because I do the same thing! I especially do it with formations of clouds in the sky. LOVE the photo you took of the soap suds. It looks like a butterfly!

Hilarious jokes! My two faves are the Walmart one and the last! OMG...that's brilliant!

Hope you're having a great time at your meeting!

    X to you and Joe

  3. That's a really impressive home. It does look like it's built into a hillside. Loved your little jokes! I'm still smiling :)

  4. Joe, what's a sink for if not to be photographed... grins.

  5. Good afternoon, Ron. I think the butterfly shape was the attraction in the sink but I have been known to just snap anything that goes. Joe will back me up on that one... grins.

Yes, I liked the Facebook joke. It says everything that I think about social media.

  6. Well, hubs and I both take those kind of photos, but he is better at it than me as my mind is too corner to corner. Loved this post Valerie, can relate to so many things.

  7. The walmart joke is right on. People just wander around with their carts, not paying attention to their surroundings. I love that old house.

  8. I liked the suds in the kitchen sink. It reminded of looking at clouds and how your mind's eye can see all kinds of things in the formations. Keep up the good work, Val. Take care.
