Click on the picture and you'll see the early-bird sun-worshipper.
Yes the wood pigeon certainly found the sun, he obviously believes in ending the year on a good note .

Quotations for a new year

As we head towards a brand new year these quotations should be useful!

  1. Women are mentally prepared for most things; it’s the arms, hips and knees that call a halt.
  2. We can do no great things – only small things with great love (Mother Teresa).
  3. Why not seize pleasure at once? How often is happiness destroyed by preparation, foolish preparation (Jane Austen).
  4. Imagination is the highest kite one can fly. (Lauren Bacall).
  5. The past is a foreign country: they do things differently there (J P Hartley).
  6. Silence is precious; it gives others a chance to air their own opinions.
  7. Believe half of what you see and nothing that you hear.

Christmas Festivities

Christmas for me includes a wedding anniversary, just two days before Christmas Day. These flowers were sent via Interflora as ordered by my stepdaughter in Australia. Aren't they beautiful?
The wine tasted good, too, and the chocolates were divine.

These were the weather conditions

and this was what it was like on Christmas Day

as we drove to this hotel for lunch...

to see

A few couples go to this hotel every year and
it seems as if we know each other really well.

This was the novelty in my Christmas cracker.
I'll never work it out!

Dinner was fantastic and I wish I'd thought to get a shot or two,
but the puds were delicious so I snapped mine before I tucked in. It was sherry trifle like I've never tasted before.

Afterwards we drove home as the sun began to set

A Merry Christmas, the original!

I've had to intercept this post as several of us chose the same post title. Blogger is very confused about that, and because Blogger got confused it followed that I too would be flummoxed. I've been receiving post replies for other bloggers and if that's not confusing I don't know what is. Title has now been changed!

These pictures say it all about Christmas

Running Away

Hello my friends and welcome. As you can see I am running away. It was easier to start a new blog than make all the changes to stop being hunted ... or should I say haunted. In future there will only be this blog to post on but I still have to fathom a way of allowing readership for some of my other 'work'. Well, I won't stop, I must go and work on my problem, I really must remove the nakedness of this blog... smiles. Hope to see you all very soon.
