ISN'T SHE LOVELY?

Joe and I have just finished watching stepdaughter’s wedding video. We thought it was never coming but finally, after four months waiting, it arrived from Australia. The video was professionally done, even the cover and disc featured Rosanne and Frank as stars of the film which, of course, they were.

After lunch on the day we received the disc, Joe and I sat down to view the events of that day in November. It was wonderful and so was Rosanne. Joe kept saying how beautiful she looked and I agreed, even though there was a slight dampness around my eyes that blurred the vision at times.

We heard people read the speeches we’d sent and again that mysterious eye problem attacked. I didn’t dare look at Joe! My problem was that since I don’t speak Australian I couldn’t always grasp the accent or keep up with the speed reading. They all speak so fast ... I hadn’t realised that before. Never mind, I should be okay after several more viewings.

Yes, it was well worth waiting for. Excuse me while I go take another look.

Saturday Special

Today is a really special Saturday because it's hubby's birthday. Yes, another year older and deeper in debt! We're off to Gavino's for a birthday lunch ... Italian style, of course. Consequently I shall probably be too full of fine Italian fare to catch up with you all.
Maybe when the wine wears off ... ....
Just one more thing before I go.

For those who haven't met John Bain allow me to point you in the right direction.

Comic dialogue is John's speciality. He writes as if he's talking to you, often going off topic in the most hilarious fashion. He is an artist, a musician, a budding author, and a brilliant blogger. His posts are entertaining and you never know what he'll come up with next.

Catch him here

But first, why not see him in action

Video, and an opinion

Making a video on the new Windows 7 is beyond me. I tried and was bitterly disappointed that the programme had been made so complicated. I used to fly through making them and was in total control of every move, but now.... well, see for yourself. It's an appalling mess at the end and I could not think how to remove the caption squares that I did NOT want. Why it all had to be changed is beyond me, especially when the original version of Live Windows Movie Maker was so straightforward and efficient.

The pictures aren't great but they were handy to practice with, and the music at the end runs on after they've finished ... all because I tried to remove the caption options. Oh well, better luck next time.
