OMG Valerie, these photographs AND your words put a HUGE smile on my face and made me laugh out loud! Aren't cats faaaaaaaabulous? And you nailed their "feline personality."
LOVE your faux fireplace. It looks so real!
Wow...you got a lot of snow. We did too, however, living in a city...it doesn't last long. I was in NYC yesterday and spotted a big patch of snow in Central Park that was left over from their recent blizzard.
Hey Ron, I took the photographs and couldn't wait to put them on line. Charlie is a love, isn't he? Snow is on the way out, but it is perishing cold. Yes, I know it's still early in the year but I swear it's colder than it has been for a few years. I daren't go out on the scooter until it clears. Having said that, I can't believe it is almost February. Hope you have a good rest of the week.
Hi Jimmy. Joe and I didn’t want a real fire when we moved in but this was next best thing. It throws out a good heat which is great this weather. Charlie seems to like it.
That looks wonderfully cosy ! But i am surprised you have had so much snow. We haven't had any here, and where you live isn't really so very far away! Your garden does look rather lovely in the snow, though....
I want my cat back! Red was his name. He looks identical to Charlie. Cheryl says our cat has been reincarnated... in someone else's house! Red was the greatest "side-Kick" cat. Looks like Charlie is the same. Awesome!
Charlie is one smart cat and he knows better than humans what to do on a snowy and cold winter day. I enjoyed the sequence of photos younpresented, Valerie. As you maybknow from our recent blog posts, we have also had our share of snow recently. Your snow looks very lovely and peaceful.
Oh how amazing! I never picture snow in the UK, just rain and fog. No wonder Charlie is snuggling up to the fireplace ( but not TOO close Charlie). Stay warm and do give charlie a headbonk from the Chedster too. He's napping next to me as I type this.

hopefully all the kinks are worked out as of today!!!
If you're new to A Mixed Bag you might find something to interest you, a bit of mirth, a story or two, or some pictures. I'm so pleased you popped in, do leave a comment if you have time.
Oh no you have snow, here in the South we are just having wind and rain.
ReplyDeleteCharlie has it sussed for sure.

Cats and fire, ours sits so close I'm surprised she hasn't singed her eyebrows off.
ReplyDeleteJoey, I took the photographs just in time.

ReplyDeleteJanet, I keep moving Charlie away from the fire but he just goes back. I guess he knows what he's doing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fireplace Valerie, I love the looks of this as much as Charlie, I think that I'd lay right there with him. Very nice.

ReplyDeleteJenny, it was a surprise to us. Today is completely different, dry but cold.
ReplyDeleteEthan, sad about your cat. It's so upsetting when things happen to our pets.
ReplyDeleteBeatrice, garden snow always looks nice, unspoiled and friendly - until we have to wade through it - I go off it then!
ReplyDeleteLove it. Nice work, Charlie. Hope the snow has gone away, Val. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThat is so adorable! I don't blame him at all for curling up beside that beautiful fire.
ReplyDeleteYes, Matt, the snow has disappeared. Amazing how quickly all that can go literally overnight.
ReplyDeletekden, sometimes I curl up with him!
ReplyDeleteCharlie looks a real character. Our pets always find the best seats in the house next to the fire.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what its like where you live, Dave, but it is freezing where I am. It is no wonder Charlie gave in to temptation lol.

Geraldine, Charlie can't get at the flames.... there's a glass barrier! England can be quite pretty in the snow but I prefer sunshine and warmth.
