Sprigs of Rosemary...
... and a Lavender loving cat seen at the local garden centre
I found this poem on the Net

WHAT IS A CAT?
Gentle eyes
that see so much,
paws that have
the quiet touch.
Purrs to signal
"all is well"
and show more love
than words can tell.
Graceful movements
touched with pride,
a calming presence
by our side.
A friendship
that will last and grow,
small wonder
why we love them so.

ReplyDeleteWhat a cute cat statue!
ReplyDeleteI love cats. I miss having one since the last family cat passed on a few years back.
So, when hubby & I go to catch the train, we find an irreistible urge to stop and pat the neighborhood cats!
Thank you for sharing :)

And being a big time cat lover, I can vouch for that. I LOVE kitties!!!!
I adore herbs! Rosemary and lavender are two of my favorites. Also, I love the scent of eucalyptus. I took a course in essential oils and really learned to appreciate their amazing healing abilities!
Thanks for sharing the link. I will head over there sometime this weekend and try it myself.
Have a wonderful weekend, dear lady!

Love the cat amidst the lavender!
ReplyDeleteI have found my number. They say everyone of us is different, can that really be true? Anyway I still feel unique despite being only one of billions
ReplyDeleteNice cat planter.. I have a smaller
ReplyDeleteGator planter...
Those numbers do make me feel small and
insignificant in the BIG picture...
The cat stuff is awesome. And this is one of the few ways that we can enjoy them because the wife and I are allergic to them. I am pretty sure Tank is happy with us for that fact. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has 4 kitties! Great photos, Val!
ReplyDeleteOkay....I don't particularly like cats and I adore the little pot in the lavender. How cute. And what a cool shot of 'things in a row'.
ReplyDeleteI need to haul my camera out and about and try for some fun shots like that!
That poem doesn't quite describe our Greta, terror cat. haha
ReplyDeleteI love fresh herbs! Thyme and basil are still growing here, I'll have to bring them inside soon though.
My neighbor had a HUGE bush of lavender growing at the front corner of her house and I was invited to go over any time and cut some, which I did, and then put in little vases around my house. Then a year ago, she moved. The new neighbors ripped the bush out and it looks so barren and sad over there now. I'm sure they are just getting ready to plant things they love but I do miss that lavender.
Hi Ron, Eucalyptus was my grandmother's favourite. I once had sapling but it died on me. I was always quite taken with the way the leaves grew. Perhaps I stared it to death... grins.
ReplyDeleteCrystal Chick, it's such a shame to see gardens ripped out after all the care the previous owners took to create it but each to his own, I guess.
