It's not the greatest of pictures but I treasure it because it took me a long to time to track this Treecreeper. Every time I thought I'd got him he scurried further up the tree. And believe me it was a tall tree!

I think it is really good. My eyes are drawn right to it. And the bark on the tree is not bad either!
ReplyDeleteThey creep up the tree in a circular motion around the tree trunk.! Fascinating bird not easy to photo as they are always on the circular move.
ReplyDeleteSpending an unusual quiet morning while the boys are otherwise occupied catching up. I am glad it is going well for Joe with just and occasional hicup. Some beautiful pictures as usual and a story I have not read before. Good luck at your upcoming meeting.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool capture, Valerie!
ReplyDeleteAnd I had never heard of a Treecreeper before.
Have a wonderful Monday, dear lady!
X to you and Joe!
Oh, nice catch, Valerie! He's really pretty, and blends in so well.
ReplyDeleteHi BC, hope you enjoyed the story and thanks for your good wishes.
ReplyDeleteJoe, I forgot to mention the way they circle the trees.
Thanks, David, the Treecreeper is well camouflaged against the bark, just their white bits give them away.
Ron, the Treecreeper is an interesting bird but very hard to see. That's why I persevered, once seen I just had to get a shot of it.
ReplyDeleteso much texture and color to take in as well....fun he was playing a bit of hide n seek with you.....
ReplyDeleteBrian, trees are wonderful for showing texture. That's what I love about wood.. any wood.
ReplyDelete"Treecreeper", huh? Wow...that would be a great title for a story. I must think about this one... :-)
ReplyDeleteHerman, I look forward to that... smiles.
ReplyDeleteYour patience paid off Valerie, this is a great shot. Never heard of a Treecreeper before . I love everything about this photo.
ReplyDeleteDenise, the Treecreeper was probably invented after you left... grins.
