Memories thrive
Times when courting
Happy … alive
Happy couple
Hand in hand
Wading in
The sea and sand
Sunrays, sunshine
Carefree fun
Crowded beach
Tan overdone
Sunscreen reminder
Paid no heed
Soreness, sorrow
Regretful deed
Specialist implored
'Heed my advice'
He was ignored
Yet he said it twice

There's a message in there Valerie which I'm heeding.
ReplyDeleterekindle those memories then go out and make some more...smiles.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I can feel the sunshine here :)
ReplyDeleteLove it. As always excellent work. I have been gone for a little bit but I can assume the hubby has returned home safely. I bet you were both glad he made it back. And I guess that means no more notes to the milkman. =) Also, just wanted to answer your question that you posed on my blog about how the baby boy acted during the party. He was fine except for when Elvis tried to hold him and then he started crying, but other than that he was an angel as always. Take care.
ReplyDeleteA warm poem...very nice, Val.
ReplyDeleteI enlarged your photo to see the incredible blues of the water...and I think I see my water kite in the distance. :))
Smiles to you, Val...
Yes looking forward to that warm Sun :-)

Hi Valerie:)
ReplyDeleteHow time flies, isn't it? But photos keep the memories alive. Yes, those carefree days, full of fun and frolic, risks taken, adventures all come back fresh when we see those old photos and make us smile.
The photo is fantastic. The turquoise blue sea and people spread out in the hot sun on the sand makes a beautiful picture. I wonder who is that lady taking the photo. Is it you?
Best wishes Valerie:)
Joseph
Thank you all for your lovely comments. The picture was taken (by me, Joseph) ... the Cote d'Azure is reputed to have the bluest sea in the world.
ReplyDeleteThanks to my friend Shifey for news of cutie boy.
Oh, Val...I do so LOVE your poetry! There is so much power in the vivid images, the brevity of your narrative and the repetition! You have such a lyrical voice! I am sorry to come to the end...Love you! Janine XO
ReplyDeleteThat was a lovely poem, reminded me of myself when I was younger and enjoyed sunbathing!!
