Sunday scenes

This is the tree that showers snowy white petals on the lawn.
I have yet to discover its name.
Berberis in full bloom
Honesty
Choicya
A mix of fern, bluebell buds, and cornflowers
Proving we do have a blue sky sometimes
Shadows on the wall, cast by the cotoneaster
Holly, practising for Christmas!
How much is that doggy in the window?
General garden view.
This is the top half, the bottom half is the wild patch
Sundial in shade, which is how it works!
It was approaching three o'clock when I took the picture.
Nameless leaves!
Lilac tree.
The 'lilac' lilac blossoms first, the 'white' lilac opens when the 'lilac' begins to fade.
A potted red acer
Success... it took me ages to get a picture of this fly.
But not so long to get a shot of the apple blossom
The Jay seemed unconcerned that I was taking pictures
More cotoneaster.
Our birds flock to these bushes when the berries appear.
The side gate
Bare branches soon to be smothered in leaves
Columbine ready to open
And there's more, but that's enough for one day.
Hope you enjoyed a bit of springtime in our garden

OMG, when I first saw that photo I actually thought it was a REAL dog!

  8. Thanks, Denise. The garden sold us the house, if you know what I mean.

Thank you, Cuban. I went for Sunday Scenes because I felt Sunday should be a day of rest and peace.

Thanks, Mersad. We have had a few nice days lately... hope it lasts.

Thank you, Ranita. Do you have a garden?

  9. Ron, my late aunt spent a long time getting me to remember plant names. I didn't realise how much her efforts had paid off. However, I confess to knowing more that's IN the garden than outside.

  10. We took a walk through Balboa Park this weekend and encountered some very similar sites. It's nice to know that Spring is here! The birds, flowers, and bees are out in force, and everyone is having a great time out under the sun. Love it!
