Oh Valerie, what a gorgeous piece of music! It went right to my heart! Isn't is amazing about music, how it can stir the soul with such emotion? Music is one of those things that is universal in language because it has no barriers.
I loved watching the Maestro conducing the piece because you could see him almost "channeling" the emotional of the music.
Thank you for sharing, dear lady. Lovely selection for songs and sounds on Saturday!
Hi Ron, I am so pleased you enjoyed this piece and that you found it as moving as I do. It has haunting appeal, once heard never forgotten. I checked out a few clips of orchestras and conductors but this one won me over literally, as you spotted, for his facial expressions. He was absorbed in sound and I loved it.
If you're new to A Mixed Bag you might find something to interest you, a bit of mirth, a story or two, or some pictures. I'm so pleased you popped in, do leave a comment if you have time.

ReplyDeleteTracey, I hope it helped. Music can be a powerful cure if we let it.
ReplyDeleteThis melody is of such soul-reaching dimensions that I can't listen to it or watch without having memories flooding back to me. Thanks.
