A few days ago I parked the car by the tree outside my house and spotted the snail.
I'm wondering if he's made it a permanent residence.
I always fancied a tree house as a kid and now I wonder if that's how I got to like birds so much.
Oh well, t'was but a silly dream.
If he's still there I shall let the snail be ... so long as he doesn't expect bed and breakfast!
Super find, Valerie!

ReplyDeleteHA! Valerie, I laughed out loud at that!
" I always fancied a tree house as a kid."
Me too! In fact, I always thought it would be so cool to actually live in a tree house like in the movie, The Swiss Family Robinson.
Have a delightful weekend, dear lady.
X to you and Joe!
Once my daughter and her little friend made a "snail hotel" in the garden wall. I can't say I was best pleased!
ReplyDeleteWell spotted Valerie. Funny, I always wanted a tree house too. Enjoyed these photos of your snail.
ReplyDeleteWe have a show here on the Animal Planet channel called 'Treehouse Masters' and they do some nice work for their clients. The clip on their website now shows the making of one for a boy with spinal muscular atrophy. The theme was based on the movie the Boxtrolls.
ReplyDeleteCute snail. Such interesting little things all around us.
You have to love the things that show up in nature, like you said as long as they don't show up in your bed :)
ReplyDeleteJenny, I'm intrigued about the snail hotel.
ReplyDeleteDenise, I couldn't miss the snail, it's resting place was right by the car door. Perfect opportunity for a blog post, I thought.
Mary, Treehouse Masters sounds wonderful and such a good cause, too.
Jimmy, no kidding, I would scream the place down if I found a snail in my bed. Ugh!
The snail will probably BE breakfast. :-) Just you wait.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from London.
i fear london maybe right...if a bird sees that it will be all over...but he's got a pretty good camoflauge...i hope the shell did not get stuck in the crack you know...ha....
ReplyDeleteI had a tree house when I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteI hope the snail find a good home. I blends in with the tree good.
Dan, you are lucky - or were. Why don''t you do a post about your tree house ... it would be very interesting.
