Songs and Sounds on Saturday

For several days this song has flooded my brain. It is strange how that happens and I wonder why we can't just switch off?

Katie Melua has a distinctive style, don't you think?

  1. It's very much of an "earworm" that song, I don't know why some songs just are.

  2. Jenny, I had to Google the word earworm and, yes, it was certainly repeating in my head.

  3. That song would be a worthy earworm, Commercial jingles are the worst.

  5. Valerie, thank you so much for sharing this beautiful song! I had never heard of Katie Melua before today, so I went searching online to find out more about her before I left this comment. I also found several of her other recordings on You Tube and bookmarked them to listen to later.

I love the quality/tone of her voice. And she's such a pretty lady!

Thank you for introducing me to Katie!

Have a lovely weekend, dear lady!

    X to you and Joe

  7. I loved this tune when it came out almost ten years ago. The album is not 'alf as bad, you know? :-) Catchy, though, isn't it?

    Greetings from London.

  8. Good morning, Ron. I am pleased you enjoyed this week's S&S. I was surprised to learn that you hadn't heard of Katie Melua. I believe she writes her own songs which makes her even more talented.
