Mine as well. There is something about the tone and quality of this voice that I like. It's a much deeper tenor voice than most tenors. Plus, he seems to sing with such ease; making it look effortless.
Really enjoyed this while having my morning coffee, so thank you!
In fact, we're synched somewhow. Last night they had the three on Sky Arts and I caught a bit of it. There was an interview with Plácido Domingo, too. Great programme. Great clip here, too. Thanks.

My view exactly. So pleased you enjoyed listening. Happy Sunday to you.
Yes - Placido Domingo. His is a much more mellow and relaxing voice than the others. I actually don't like José Carreras' voice at all, by itself, but all together, they are magical!
Have you heard Il Volo? So lovely to see three very young men taking up the torch.
If you're new to A Mixed Bag you might find something to interest you, a bit of mirth, a story or two, or some pictures. I'm so pleased you popped in, do leave a comment if you have time.
*thunderous applause*
ReplyDeleteGreat clip, Valerie!
"My favourite is Placido Domingo"

It would be hard to pick a favorite! Have you heard "The Texas Tenors" ? They're really good too.

Jay, I agree with you about José... on his own his voice doesn't appeal at all. I have heard Il Volo, they should go far methinks.
