Sunday Scenes

I shall be away at my aunt's funeral tomorrow so once again there will be no Monday Mirth. Sadly Joe is away but I shall have the company of my son and his partner. We aim to lunch out before the afternoon service so we can do a bit of catching up as well as some reminiscing.
Here's a bit of green to fill the gap, it was my aunt's favourite colour.
Hope you all have a wonderful couple of days.

  4. I hope you get through this okay, Val. Funerals are never much fun, but the thing I try to remember is that a funeral is for celebrating their life. That was very hard for me to do when we lost Cole (19 yrs old) in Sept. of 2011. It was the saddest thing ever. I love all the greens in your post today. We don't have many signs of spring yet. Snow and ice everywhere, but I know it's just around the corner!!

Thank you for sharing the 'green.' Especially loved the first one of the grapes.

    Safe journey, dear lady.

  6. Thank you, Pearl. I guess there will be a lot of reminiscing with the more remote family members. I hope you friend's funeral doesn't upset you too much..

Thank you, Brian. I like that expression 'travel light' ... it means a lot more than it implies.

Thank you, Mel, yes indeed. We don't meet up often but it's worth it when we do.

Thank you, Mona. You are right, funerals are celebrations of life, I am pleased more people now realise it.

Thank you, Ron. I appreciate your sentiments. It will be a difficult day but your good wishes will prevail x

  12. I am sorry to hear about your aunt. But thank you for posting the green pictures. It's lovely to see green at this still-bleak time of year.
