Me too, Valerie! I love, love, love Gladys Knight! She has a wonderful "energy" about her. And her voice is amazing because it's timeless and effortless. I recently watched a video clip of her singing on The Today Show, and her voice is still as strong and clear as it was when she first started singing.
Wonderful song that you chose too!
Thanks so much for sharing! I enjoyed this while sipping my morning coffee.
Good morning, Ron. I believe I mentioned once that Joe and I saw Gladys in a live show. It was spellbinding, at least I thought so. Her voice has the power to reduce me to tears - joyful ones, of course.
She has an amazing voice. When I first moved to the States Gregg took me to see her and the Pips. The performed on a circular stage as we their audience surrounded them. It was a memorable night.
If you're new to A Mixed Bag you might find something to interest you, a bit of mirth, a story or two, or some pictures. I'm so pleased you popped in, do leave a comment if you have time.
What a great voice!
