Sunday Scenes

Some odd shots I found on file, pictures that were taken at various stops on a cruise in 2005.

Waiting for passengers
A view from a coach just before a hairpin bend
The view from inside a boat... I wonder who chose the seats!!
No-one I know!
Very smart carriages
See the signs at the top of the board, no smoking, no dogs, no bikinis!
Leaning columns!
A restful spot
Little and Large
Gondola rage!

  1. I just adore the photos you share with us on Sundays.

That big/little boat is very dramatic--and I don't know who's in that alley way either, but it made for an awesome photo.

I think the one taken of the fountain is just amazing...what a wonderful place to just sit and stare and BE.

  4. Hi Mel. Glad you liked the pictures. I did actually go inside the grounds where the fountain was situated. It was what I call restful and I loved it.

  5. No bikinis! Does that mean..? Surely not? In a museum!

  6. My mom and I took a coach when we were in Crete and were amazed they could make those hairpin curves, at one point the driver did not make the turn so well and we ended up hung up at a angle for a while he and some other men got him unstuck. We were never in danger of being hurt but we had fun laughing about it.

  7. What's amazing is how pristine and neat those scenes are. Here in the states it would seem odd not to have at least some graffiti on white walls like that tunnel!
