For those who have followed this saga

Prescription  - three items due every month – used to be every two months but I guess Boots can’t keep track! This month I was told the prescription would be delivered on 25th or 26th but, not surprisingly, it didn’t come. Boots are very good at providing excuses for non-delivery but the latest beats them all.

This is how my phone call went:

BA (short for Boots assistant): we rang (she didn’t say what for) but there was no reply.
Me: How strange, I was in the whole time.
BA: Perhaps you were upstairs.
Me: I don’t have an upstairs.
BA: Or in the garden.
Me: What? In this weather?
BA: Well, whoever rang left a note to say there was no reply. She rang several times.
Me: How strange, when I was expecting either a visit or a call.

The medication was delivered today….. TWO MONTHS WORTH!!!

End of Saga (fingers crossed)!

  1. You just want to crawl through the phone and grab them by the throat.

  2. Oooh, Janet, if only I could.

  3. BRAVO, Valerie!!!! I am sooooooooo happy to hear that the medication saga has come to a close and that you got your med's delivered. AND that you got TWO MONTHS worth!

Doesn't it just amaze you how customer service is handled in so many businesses? It's the same here in the U.S.

Wishing you a peaceful and restful rest of your week, dear friend!

  4. Good morning, Ron. I was happy with the final outcome. The chemist always gave two months worth ... until recently. I'm hoping they're now back on the same track they once trod. Life is complicated enough without them. I heard say that the manager had been away but is now back in harness. As I said before, fingers crossed.

Have a good day, my good friend.

  5. Your blog is a good example of the pen being mightier than the sword.

  6. Glad to read you've now got the medication! Maybe you should start the whole process again as it seems to take them 2 months to sort the medication out!

When you wrote BA my immediate thought was British Airways. :D

  7. Joey, I was probably wishing I could fly away LOL

  8. Think someone dropped the ball and wasn't in the mood to take the blame. I have heard some say they called when I know they didn't - my phone has the most irritating ring and it keeps track of every single call that comes in.
Good you got your meds and weren't found dead on the floor ...

  9. Sharon. My phone is the same, I didn't think to mention that. duh!

  10. Dave. Nice one! I wish I'd thought of that.

  11. Nothing like a happy ending...but oh the struggle to get there...:)

  12. Indeed, TB. Hopefully the pharmacy will sort itself out for the benefit of all its customers.
