More pet pics, an interloper, and rain

I can see I'll have to remove the 'weather forecast' from the blog if it carries on telling lies. Yesterday in my area there were severe storms, flash floods and general chaos. It was unbelievable. Two hours worth of rain in twenty minutes. Now, as I type, the sun is shining from a blue sky. It was very warm today but I hearsay it is going to turn cold tomorrow. Flaming June!

To change the subject here are more pet pictures ... only three, two old and one new. The ones of Chalkie were 'fiddled' photographs like I did with those shown yesterday.

First the old
Chalkie, the cockatiel, sadly no longer with us...

...being taught bad habits!

And a new picture of a young fox that deserves the caption.....

...'What a damned cheek!'

  1. I must say that the weather forecast forms a rather depressing prologue to the blog at present Valerie, so let us hope that the weather eventually looks up! :) I am very sorry that you had all that rain. I am noticing how green everything is, though that is not much consolation!

You can trust that's not about the cockatiel.

  3. the fox pic is very cool...though he looks a bit like he might be taking his morning constitutional...

it is smoking hot here already at 7 am...in the 80s and the air is thick...supposed to be around 100...could use a bit of rain relief...

  4. The weather is just R.I.D.I.C.U.L.O.U.S.!

  5. We could use the rain here! If only we could look at the weather map and manipulate where the rain is falling - the wildfires are out of control in the southwest - Colorado and New Mexico. They REALLY need the rain, too!

  6. Heehee Brian, he was. Dirty boy!

Jenny, after two years of virtually no rain the gardens are lapping it up. Seeds that were planting yonks ago are now emerging.

    That's right, Mel.

You said it, Pearl. It's all crazy.

I wish I could send rain over there, Pat. The weather has gone mad.

  7. WOW, I cannot believe the amount of flooding you got, Valerie! It looks like the photos I've seen online of the west coast of Florida from Tropical Storm Debby!

Hasn't this been the strangest summer? One minute it's hot, the next it's cool. We're getting temps into the 100's this weekend here - UGH!

GREAT photos! My mother had a cockatiel that looked very similar to Chalkie. Love the shot the fox!!!!

Have a super weekend, dear lady!

  8. Hi Ron, it is unusual for us to have so much flooding. After two years of hardly any rain it has come as a bit of a shock. I wouldn't mind so much if only we could have some warmth. Hope it is fine for you in Florida. Have a great time.

  9. Hi Val. Hope the weather turns better soon since it is almost July. Blame it on the fox. Have a great weekend.
