Saturday Special

Meet Cub X

Newest arrival at Dudley Zoo: an eight-week-old Snow Leopard cub, born 2 May 2013. The cub is the first Snow Leopard to be born at the zoo in 12 years. The youngster has been nicknamed Cub X by keepers until they confirm its sex. The baby recently made its public debut and delighted visitors with five-minute play-arounds with first time mother, Nanga, aged four. His father is three-year-old Margaash.

For a minute, Valerie, I thought you had taken this little snow leopard into your home. I don't know why I thought that, but it did cross my mind, "hmmmmm is this REALLY a good idea?"
Silly :D

Oh--what a cute little thing. It's tail is as long as he/she is. Amazing creatures. And how fun for the zoo!

That is such a wonderful cat to see. He is so pretty and the success of his birth is grand.

Brian, I am especially thrilled because he/she was born in our local zoo.

Mel, he is definitely the cutest newborn.

Jenny, I wonder why you thought that?

OMG...I just want to pick up that little cub and HUG him!

Precious! Precious! Precious!

Thanks for sharing, Valerie. I so enjoyed this whilst sipping my morning cup of java.

Have a lovely day, dear lady!

P.S. the temperatures here have been on the rise for the past two weeks. Also, a lot of rain storms. But I'm grateful because the rain seems to cool things off a bit.

Ron, wouldn't it be nice if the cub stayed that way for a bit longer, eg long enough so people can get to see him/her.

It hasn't been too bad here today but tomorrow is supposed to be hot. Heehee note I said SUPPOSED TO BE
