Sunday Scenes... boats

Boats are fascinating, at least I think so. Put me by a marina somewhere and I'm happy as a queen. Whenever we went cruising I could never resist photographing the different boats that we saw. Here are a few from my collection. Yachts, tugs, working boats, I like them all.

  2. Yes, Brian, on a yacht, maybe, with the sun glistening on calm azure blue waves... heavenly.

  3. Oh, Valerie, seeing your beautiful photo here, reminded me of my two weeks in Florida with all the water, marina's and boats I saw. You would have LOVED it!

Me too, boats are fascinating. I remember when my family first moved to Florida and my father purchased a speed boat in which we used to water ski. Oh, how fun that was!

I'm especially fond of sail boats, because of the way they gently move through the water; hearing the flapping of the sails against the wind!

Hope you're having a lovely Sunday, dear lady. Thanks for sharing these photos!

  5. Hmmm yes, Ron, I KNEW I should have gone to Florida. Biggest regret now. What fun you must have had on that speed boat, hair flying, sun burning. Oh such heaven. Thank you for sharing that.

  6. Love your boats Valerie. I also love boats and being near water. Wish I was today actually because for once it is hot, hot, hot.
I love the pic where the bubbles are beneath the surface in a deep, green ocean. Oooooh, lovely.
We are an island race, after all. Did you enjoy the Queen's pageant?

  7. Mona, it's been a while since I did. Happy days, while they lasted.

Thanks, Star. Yes, for once it has been a lovely day. Hope it lasts a while. Languishing on a boat would have been good in the sunshine. Yes I did enjoy the pageant, in fact I was glued to the telly.

  9. I love boats as well. My father was a Commander in the navy, and taught me how to captain a small sailboat when I was a kid. *Sigh*...good times! :-)

  13. Boats are interesting, I just can't get on them. Too much motion for me, even on the big cruise ships.
