Hi!! I just stopped by to say hello, and kinda introduce myself. I saw your link/profile over at Denise's blog - I loved these images of Venice!! And as I perused your posts below, I adored the Cat post also....as I love cats.
Anyway, glad to meet you. Hope your weekend is going well.
Looks fun! Is it a very smooth ride? I wonder if I'd feel sea sick like I do on other types of water transportation. I'd gladly chance it if it meant being in Italy! :)
I always enjoy your Sunday scenes, Val. I get to see things I'd never see otherwise! I'll be busy for several days with some things, but I'll be back commenting and posting next week. Bear with me....
What's really weird is that the entire Indiana Jones movie series was just released on blu-ray this past Tuesday, and last night Karin and I watched the third one which takes place, in part, in Venice. Seems I just saw some of these locations you pictured in that movie last night. Heh...
If you're new to A Mixed Bag you might find something to interest you, a bit of mirth, a story or two, or some pictures. I'm so pleased you popped in, do leave a comment if you have time.
oh cool...i would love to take a gondola ride...i think it would be so romantic...

ReplyDeleteHello Hootin Anni, how nice to meet you. I'll pop over to your blog soon to say hello properly.
ReplyDeleteBrian, it is romantic.... especially a gondola with only the gondolier on board!
Bellissima, Valerie!
ReplyDeleteI could just imagine myself sitting back in one of those gondola's at dusk; sipping a nice glass of Italian red wine and taking in the sights!
Aaah....Venice!
One day!
Wonderful photos, dear lady! Thanks so much for sharing!
Happy Sunday!
Ciao!
Thanks Ron, but could you make mine white wine. Glad you enjoyed the pictures.
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Venice, but everyone says it's marvelous. I enjoyed your pictures very much. Just makes me want to visit there.

ReplyDeleteSeen a lot of this part of Venice in our Hindi Movies..loved it in the movies and also in your pics..Thanks for uploading..
ReplyDeleteCrystalChick, the ride in the gondola was very smooth. It just glides, no rocking or anything. I wouldn't think anyone could feel seasick.
ReplyDeleteHi Herman, good to see you back safe and sound. Vienna is so beautiful that I imagine it's been used as a location for many films. I loved it there.
Ranita, it is a beautiful place. And so romantic.
I agree! Gondola rides are romantic :)
